U.S. Army Public Affairs office has released a statement on November 14, 2020 identifying five Soldiers who have died while part of peacekeeping operations with the Multinational Force and Observers Mission – Egypt.
A UH-60 helicopter crash occurred in Sinai, Egypt on November 12, 2020. The cause of the aircraft crash is unknown and is currently under investigation.
Five Military Servicemembers have been identified:
Capt. Seth Vernon Vandekamp, 31, from Katy, Texas.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Dallas Gearld Garza, 34, from Fayetteville, North Carolina
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Marwan Sameh Ghabour, 27, from Marlborough, Massachusetts
Staff Sgt. Kyle Robert McKee, 35, from Painesville, Ohio
Sgt. Jeremy Cain Sherman, 23, from Watseka, Illinois
It is with great sadness we confirm five U.S. Army Soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash on Nov. 12 while supporting the United Nations Multinational Force and Observers. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families.
